Food for Thought

Doesn't look like much but represents a good half hour of imaginary play. We took the 'pretend tea party' one step further and made our own food...all it needed was paper, a few colours, scissors and some imagination.

We had everything from sandwiches to a fry-up and ice-cream for afters.

Discussion included party/dinner etiquette, people's food preferences and phobias, healthy eating and just what was the best way to make spaghetti from strips of paper.

And all the time the young people 'work' on their social & communication skills while they play.
