Arcade Fire at the O2

Okay we could have been looking down from the sky , we were that far away from them and you would'nt want to be scared of heights...but other than that it was a pretty good gig (although it would be pretty amazing to see them in the Roundhouse in Camden - that would be a bit more up close and personal) . Saying that you got a really good vibe from these guys and didn't feel so bad about there being about 17000 other people there when told that £1 from each ticket was going to Haiti and then the evening was wonderfully rounded off by thousands of people singing along to Wake Up and still singing leaving seats and spilling out down the hundreds of stairs into the falling snow and still humming descending into the underground and loading onto buses...I hummed all the way home...

Whats the story here I wonder...and was there a happy ending?

Snow Trees

The snow makes everywhere look magical - even Mile End!

Snow Heart

You have to love snow - not just for the snowballs, snowmen and days off school but for the sounds of the city under a blanket of white and the conversations with complete strangers on traffic islands just because it snowed!

London Snow

On waking all is still and quiet, as if insulated from sound,

And you look out and see the reason; a blanket of snow on the ground,

Embracing every horizontal surface and non-vertical plain

It lies there until disturbed and it disappears again.
